Jonathan Hamp


We’re delighted to announce the latest addition to the Genesys team, business development manager Jonathan Hamp.

Originally a Mackem (born in Sunderland, North East UK) Jonathan moved to South Africa when he was five. He studied Chemical Engineering and Pulp and Paper Science at Durban University. He then worked for BHT Water Treatment and Paperkem in South Africa before moving back to the UK with his wife and two sons in 1998, to join Ashland Inc’s pulp and paper division.

Jonathan has a wealth of process water treatment experience, and his expertise in biocides and antiscalants will strengthen the Genesys team in Africa, North West Europe and Scandinavia.

Jonathan is a former rugby player (scrum half) and now coaches and referees.
