Ted Darton

Ted has spent the past 40 years developing and working with chemical applications for the water treatment industry.

Ted has worked in the international desalination market for the past 30 years, since promoting antiscalants to the thermal desalination industry in the 1970s. For the last 15 years he has specialised in membrane antiscalants and cleaners.

Ted has written many technical papers and has lectured extensively.

Ursula Annunziata

Sales Director

Ursula is an international authority on desalination. She is vice-president of the European Desalination Society and also a board member of the International Desalination Association.

Her qualifications include a BSc Hons in chemistry and Marine Biology and an MSc in Applied Hydrobiology. Over the last 25 years her focus has been on membrane technology, specialising in antiscalants and membrane cleaning chemicals.

Steve Chesters

Managing Director

Steve joined Genesys in 2006, and has 30 years water treatment experience with Houseman and Nalco.

He has worked specifically in sales and marketing of water treatment chemicals for RO membranes, steam boilers, cooling towers, and Legionella control.

Steve has a BSc Hons in Physical Geography and has published more than twenty papers and has a number of patent citations.

John Eckersley

John has been working in the water treatment industry for 29 years, the last fifteen for Genesys.

He took on the role of developing our UK manufacturing facilities in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing, quality and health and safety processes. He was previously responsible for developing the UK membrane market for Genesys.

David Golding

Business Development Manager

David has worked in the membrane industry for over 30 years, mainly in the Middle East. Having been stationed in Saudi Arabia for 15 years, he has a wealth of experience in trouble-shooting fouled membranes at some of the biggest plants in the world, and in compiling and implementing cleaning protocols.

David has a very hands-on approach and is known for providing customers and distributors with practical guidance. He has also helped in the development of our advanced software.

Matt Armstrong

Sales & Marketing Manager
Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific Close

Matt has a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, Biochemistry and Chemistry. He has worked in the chemical and equipment water treatment industry since 1997, specialising in membrane chemicals and equipment for since 2002.

Matt is responsible for Genesys business Development in Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific and can be contacted on marmstrong@genesysro.com.

Stephane Jarrige

Business Development Manager

Stephane has spent ten years working with Degrémont and Ondeo Industrial Solutions in the UK, the Netherlands and France, covering all aspects of water related engineering.

He has been involved in managing ultrapure water systems for four years, during which time he has gained an in-depth knowledge of membrane operational issues.

Jonathan Hamp

Jonathan is a Chemical Engineer and has spent the past 20 years working in the chemical and water treatment industry, initially in Southern Africa and latterly with Ashland in the United Kingdom, Belgium and The Netherlands. Jonathan has a very practical approach in providing advice and support to customers and distributors.

Asif Sheikh

Business Development Manager

Asif has been technically supporting RO membrane customers since 1999 initially with Houseman UK and then with Nalco (an Ecolab Co) for 15 years, 10 of which were based in Dubai.

He has helped customers improve their RO plant performance based on best practice and innovation offerings in virtually all industries (Heavy and Light).

Geographically, Asif has managed RO customers in multiple regions; CEE, Russia & CIS, Mediterranean, North Africa and the Middle East.

Whilst based in the Gulf, his special focus was on large-scale seawater RO plants and Thermal Desalination plants (MSF and MED).

Phil Morton

PA fully qualified Mining Engineer from the Camborne School of Mines, Phil has over 10 years of deep knowledge in fossil fuel, complex base and precious metal mining operations in the UK, Australia and most recently, Saudi Arabia. Phil's wealth of experience in a wide range of commodities and extraction processes, aid his practical and analytical approach to support both customers and distributors in the pursuit for focused value-added excellence and optimisation of plant activities.

Paul Holloway

Paul joined towards the end of 2017 as our UK Sales Manager. He gained a Polymer Science Degree at UMIST whilst working for Ciba-Geigy. Also has previous water treatment experience during his 15 years working for Drew Ameroid & Houseman in UK, East Africa and Indian sub-continent. He adopts a very positive & hands-on approach to all customer challenges.

Max Fazel

Senior Research Chemist Close

Max has a degree in Chemistry and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has spent the last 20 years working in scale corrosion and water treatment membrane chemistry.

Max is well known in the industry as a reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane specialist. His expertise includes autopsy techniques, product compatibility testing, membrane cleaning and research and development.

Gregory Gibson

Research Chemist Close

Graduating from Queen’s University Belfast, Gregory gained his PhD in water treatment with a research focus on catalyst design, electrochemical ozone technologies and reaction thermodynamics. With over five years’ experience in laboratory research, Gregory is proficient in analytical techniques. Additionally, he has presented his research at a number of international conferences and successfully published papers on water treatment. Prior to joining Genesys in 2017, Gregory developed his industry experience as a Process Chemist with a large wastewater company.

Jonathan Cook

Technical Assistant Close

Jonathan Cook has a BSc in Chemistry from Newcastle University. He joined Genesys International on a permanent basis in 2015 after gaining experience from working in the Genesys laboratory for two summers prior to completing his degree.

Joanne Darton

Administration Manager Close

Joanne has been working in transport for over 25 years and has been with Genesys since 2006. Joanne is responsible for processing orders & transport for both Genesys International and Genesys North America as well as accounts.

Julie Harris

Administrator Close

Julie has more than 20 years‘ administrative experience and has been with Genesys since 2009.

Based at our manufacturing facility in Middlewich, her role includes managing the purchase and sales ledgers and monthly payroll as well as handling incoming phone calls.

Juan Shang Muñoz

Managing Director Close

Juan has 30 years' experience of water treatment. Since joining Genesys sixteen years ago he has been responsible for business development in Spain and Latin America.
He previously spent 12 years with a multinational company as Area Director for the Canary Islands, responsible for sales, operation and maintenance of reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration technologies (UT).

Fernando del Vigo

Technical Manager Close

Fernando is the Technical Manager for our Spanish and Latin American business. He has 20 years' experience in laboratory research, technical support and water treatment sales in the UK, Spain, the Middle East and South America. Fernando started his career combining reverse osmosis, nanofiltration and ultrafiltration membrane cleaning in pilot plants. He has also been involved in the research and development of antiscalants, biocides, cleaners and flocculants for the membrane industry.

Silvia Gallego

Technical Development & Marketing Director Close

Silvia has over ten years‘ experience in water treatment, mainly focused on membrane technologies and laboratory research.

Qualified with a BSc in Environmental Sciences, she has been responsible for developing the Genesys laboratories in Madrid and centralising technical assistance services for the group.

Nuria Pena

Laboratory Manager Close

Dr. Nuria Pena gained her PhD in analytical chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid researching water and food biosensors. She has over fifteen years experience in water treatment specialising in water analysis and, mainly, in the study of fouling identification and membranes damage (reversed osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration). Nuria has published more than fifteen papers both about analytical chemistry and water treatment.

Javier Pool

Javier is a qualified economist from Madrid University, and has worked at KPMG and Veolia before founding and co-owning Genesys Membrane Products Spain. Javier is an associate University lecturer.

Jaime Sepulveda

Operations Director Close

Jaime has been Operations Director of Genesys Latin America for the past five years.

He has more than 15 years‘ experience in water treatment, including reverse osmosis, cooling towers and boilers.

Francisco Mendoza Jiménez

Process Engineer Close

Francisco is a Process Engineer of our business in Chile, experience covers 4 years in research, technical support and sales in water treatment. He has experience in water treatment systems: removal of organic matter and metals, purification and re-use of water. Reverse osmosis plants, boilers and cooling towers.
