EDS Athens
During the event, Ursula handed the mantle of EDS President over to Maria Kennedy, head of the EEWT department and Professor of Water Treatment Technology at IHE Delft University.
The gala dinner was held at the Ioannis roof garden restaurant at the Royal Olympic Hotel, in the shadow of the Acropolis. Ursula and the Salty Dogs performed for the first time since IDA São Paulo, followed by traditional Greek music by Renos Koutsakos, accompanied by yours truly on drums.
Ursula and the Salty Dogs went down a storm, and were asked to play again at the Asociación Española de Desalación y Reutilización (AEDyR) conference in Toledo, Spain, in October. This time the line-up included Tony Casanas, key account manager from Dow, and Domingo Zarzo of Sadyt and Valoriza Agua.
