Matt Armstrong and David Golding collect our third Queen’s Award
Matt and David represented Genesys at Buckingham Palace on 14 July to receive our third Queen’s Award from Her Majesty, followed by a cocktail reception.
We won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade) based on six years of continuous steep growth. Contributing factors included:
• 94% of turnover coming from overseas trade
• our move to a new factory with its own research and development centre
• our distribution network increasing from 31 to 67 distributors worldwide
• doubling of product volume exported
• the launch of our:
- Genesolâ„¢ 700 series of powder cleaners with unique cleaning mechanisms
- Genairclean™ – a new patented method of membrane cleaning using microbubbles
- Membrane Master 4 scaling prediction software, available in seven languages
• and the employment of four new business development managers.
There will also be an award ceremony on 11 October, attended by the Queen’s representative David Briggs, Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire. Local dignitaries including members of parliament and the Mayor of East Cheshire will be there to celebrate our achievement, along with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and UK Trade & Investment and Genesys partners.
After the formal reception I’m sure we’ll have a bit of a knees-up. We’ll share pictures in the Christmas newsletter.
