Ursula is an international authority on desalination and vice-president of the European Desalination Society. She has been a board member of the International Desalination Association for several years. After gaining a BSc Hons in chemistry and marine biology and an MSc in applied hydrobiology, Ursula researched and published a number of technical papers on legionnaires’ disease. Over the last 20 years her focus has been on membrane technology, specializing in anti-scalants and membrane cleaning chemicals.

Ted has spent the past 35 years working with chemical applications for the water treatment industry. He has been involved with new product development, marketing and sales of most chemicals used by the water industry including anti-scalants, corrosion inhibitors and biocides. Ted has worked in international markets for 30 years and in the 1970s promoted anti-scalants to the thermal desalination industry. For the last 15 years he has specialized in membrane anti-scalants and cleaners. Ted has written many technical papers and has lectured extensively.

Steve has 18 years’ experience in sales and marketing of water treatment chemicals and services in the UK, US and Singapore. From treating large water tube steam boilers in Indonesian palm oil mills to launching a global Legionella Control Division, Steve brings a variety of skills to Genesys backed up by technical competence with a BSc in hydrology.

David has worked in the membrane industry for more than 20 years, particularly in the Middle East. Having been stationed in Saudi Arabia for 12 years, he has a wealth of experience trouble-shooting fouled membranes at some of the biggest plants in the world and in compiling and implementing cleaning protocols. David’s hands-on approach has helped in the practical guidance and advanced software Genesys International offers clients.

John has spent 20 years working in the water treatment industry. Field-based service has given him a huge depth of knowledge of industry processes and people, invaluable for the varied applications of membrane technology. John has a bio-chemical sciences degree and is now helping distributors and OEMs deliver chemical solutions to the UK membrane market.

Fernando has nine years’ experience in laboratory research, technical support and sales of water treatments in the UK, Spain, Middle East and South America. He started his career combining RO, NF and UF membrane cleaning in pilot plants and giving on-site assistance. Fernando has also been involved in laboratory research for new anti-scalants, biocides, cleaners and flocculants for the membrane industry. In the past five years he has concentrated on customer support and technical assistance.

Silvia has seven years’ experience in water treatment, mainly focused on membrane technologies and laboratory research. Qualified with a BSc in environmental sciences, she has been responsible for developing the Genesys Laboratories and centralizing technical assistance services for the group.

Fareed has specialized in the marketing of water treatment systems and chemicals in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Libya for 10 years. He has been directly involved in initiating and handling water treatment projects.

Jens has 11 years’ experience in sales and marketing of water treatment in Germany and central Europe. He challenges himself to solve his clients’ problems on scaling, corrosion and membrane issues.

KS has spent 20 years in technical support, sales and the marketing of water treatment equipment and systems, components and consumables in the Pacific region. Genesys Pacific is based in Singapore with offices in Malaysia and Shanghai. KS has a BE Hons in mechanical engineering and an MSc in building science.

Jantje has extensive experience in the membrane process industry having lived in Europe where she worked in the Engineering Sector before joining the chemical service companies Argo Scientific and then PermaCare International. In recent times she has been working in the technical department of FilmTec Corporation at their headquarters in Minneapolis as a senior technical specialist leading ROSA and brackish water membrane developments.
